Welcome to our Eco Store
No Time For Waste (or NTFW for short). My name is Leanne and I, along with my husband Mitchell, have set out on a journey to change the way we think about, and use short-lifespan and single-use items, in and around the home.
By altering our consumer habits and lifestyle choices, we realised that we had gathered together quite a number of excellent "waste replacement" items, that we could use in and around our home. Not only having the satisfying feeling of contributing towards the problems, such as pollution, plastic waste and climate change, but also knowing that it is preventing and discouraging the production of the products which are, and have become an ever-increasing problem.
Over time, we have gone through a lot of different products, from a lot of different places and have found some terrible and some great alternatives. With the great ones, We had the idea of setting up a small online shop, aswell as an ETSY Store so that we could amplify the "the right thing to do", by featuring these items for you to have in your home.
WHERE DO I BEGIN?
Knowing where to start and knowing what is necessary for you is all a little overwhelming - we've been there! We have also put together a cleaning utensil starter bundle, which we use every day in and around our kitchen - The 4 Piece Sink Starter Bundle. It's a great way to start your waste-reduction journey, for a reduced bundled price.
Remember to take a breath every now and then and remember that everybody's journey to waste-reduction is different. Focus on small victories over shorter periods of time, rather than your long-term goals.
REMEMBER THE NTFW RULES...
1. ONLY BUY WHAT YOU WILL USE
Always think before you buy and ask yourself "do I really need this?"
2. BUY MORE, LESS OFTEN
Once you've decided on the above, please consider delivery emissions and purchase multiples in fewer orders, rather than a lot of separate orders.
3. REUSE WHERE POSSIBLE
Get creative. Think outside the box. Give your used up item a new purpose! ie. Turn a bundle of bamboo brushes into an insect hotel!
4. THEN RECYCLE
When the time comes, always recycle your items responsibly. Composting is a great way to do break down organic materials and allows for further reuse!
5. ALWAYS HAVE NO TIME FOR WASTE
We mean this in 2 ways.
The first being that buying a cheaper, plastic toothbrush or polyester washing up sponge should never be considered. The cost of these items is way more detrimental to the planet than the extra cost of natural alternatives.
The second being that we really appreciate your custom, but more importantly your following. We always seek out the best quality suppliers to which we use ourselves. Our ethos is that if it's not good enough for us, it's not good enough for you.
WE THANK YOU for reading this and we look forward to seeking out more and more new products to try and pass on to you. Please keep checking in and we may have something new, which you never knew you could live without.
